Kala Nera is a beautiful and very popular coastal village in Pelion, and is a perfect destination for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. On the coast of the Pagasitic Gulf, you can enjoy swimming and relaxing on the beach and enjoy the crystal clear waters. The beach of Kala Nera has been awarded the "Blue Flag" for it's excellent waters.
Kala Nera is well equipped to cater for tourism and holiday makers, and being just 18 km from the city of Volos, it is very easy to reach. The village is one that attracts a large number of visitors each year, and is also a great base from which you can head off and explore some of the other surrounding parts of Pelion.
You will find a great choice of accommodation in the village including hotels, studios and apartments. The main coastal road of the village is where you will find a wide selection of places to eat and drink.
The traditional fishing village Milina is situated at the coastal lane of the Pagasitic Gulf, about 50 km south east of Volos, and the village has a sandy beach and the best breathtaking sunsets of Greece! From the boulevard you can admire a view with mountain scenery along the bay as well as the little islands Alatas and Prasouda, which can be reached by (rental) boat to visit deserted, magnificent beaches and hamlets.
The village offers good facilities to its visitors and along the entire boulevard you will find picturesque taverns, coffee bars, tsipouradika and several clubs. During the summer months Milina is a lively village where many festivals take place with Greek traditional dance and music.
Explore the south side of the Pelion Peninsula by visiting the authentic fishing villages Kottes and Agia Kyriaki, the mountainous village Trikeri or the island Agia Panagia.
